This Week’s Highlights –
Getting away from the household routine is always a positive for us. We spend more time sharing and figuring out where we are and where we want to go, and this past weekend was no different.
It’s been 18 months since we participated in a rock and gem show, and we’re 18 months older and slower. I spent several days prior to the show going through all the boxes in the trailer, washing all the tablecloths and making sure sales supplies were there. Then we were off to Boulder City, Nevada for the southern Nevada Gem and Mineralogical Society Show as part of the Spring Jamboree in Boulder City put on by the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce.
Considering the impact of covid-19 on the crowds, we had a good show. And the planning that we did for the October and November shows was almost the best part because half of the booth will be for Jana’s Journals – Books, Bags, and Baskets. You can link to the blog post that explains that here. And we’ll use half of a double booth for 2 8’ tables to put out beads, charms, findings, cabochons, slabs and misc. materials at liquidation prices. I’ll remind you of that when we get closer.
Other Events this Past Week –
We were invited to participate in the Parowan City Events in June and July. Here’s the link to that information.
The U.S. Forest Service will open their new regional office to the public on Monday, May 10th. Their formal ribbon cutting was last week. You can see the photos from that and other events here.
After spending 5 days in Nevada, it’s catch-up time – blogging, laundry, paying bills, sending out notices for the Art In The Park Event, and a few other chores.
